Publishing Presentations
Publishing to a Single File
Publishing saves the current presentation and the associated images,sounds,...
to a single directory ready for release. Select "File,Publish, Single
File" and then select a filename/location to save the published presentation,
images, sounds, etc too. Single File presentations use the file extension
'smp'
Publishing to a Multi File
Publishing saves the configuration files and associated images,sounds,...
to a single directory so that the presentation can undergo further editing
before release. Select "File,Publish, Multi File" and then select
a filename/location to save the presentation and its associated files.
Multi Files use the 'sms' file extension.
Publishing to an Executable
Executable files contain the presentation along with the mini-version
of the Liquid Media Player. This allows your presentation to be run on
any windows computer, even if Liquid Media or the Liquid Media Player
isn’t installed. The file size of an executable presentation is
slightly larger but they are particularly useful when widely distributing
a presentation to the public.
Publishing to a CD Menu
Liquid Media supports publishing presentations to a CD Menu. Your
presentation will be setup to run automatically when the CD is inserted
into a CD-ROM drive. The royalty-free Liquid Media player is published
along with your presentation so anyone can view it without having previously
installed liquid Media. It's worth noting that you can create a CD Menu
even if you do not have a CD-writer. The CD menu files will simply be
stored on your computer and can be copied onto a CD at any time.
Publishing to Web Slides
Publishing to web slides will first prompt you to specify where on
your computer to create the files. Then your presentation will be formatted
into HTML format. This means they can then be uploaded to the internet
and viewed from a normal web browser. Each scene will have a HTML file
created for it and all your scenes will be linked together with an 'index'
page. You can also navigate through the menus with the arrow buttons located
at the top of each page. Unfortunately there will be no animation or dynamic
content on your web slides.
Publishing to a Template
Publishing to a template is useful for creating faster presentations.
If your company has a standard look that is to be present on all their
presentations. To save as a template select "File, Publish, Template".
The far right option when creating a scene will allow you to insert previously
created templates.
Exporting a Snapshot of the Current Scene
Exporting a snapshot saves a picture of the currently selected scene.
Select "File, Dump Screen, File or Printer" and a dialog box will
appear allowing you to enter a filename or select a printer.
Creating a Movie
Creating a movie exports a presentation or scene animation into a
movie file.
Select "File, Create Movie, Presentation or Scene" and then
several dialog boxes will appear to select the codec and filename that
you wish to save the movie to. |
