The create presentation menu (pictured below) is automatically shown when Liquid Media loads. But it can also be accessed through the main menu (File >> New). If you have a presentation already open Liquid Media will ask if you wish discard the current presentation. If you select to create a new blank or background presentation you will be prompted to edit the Presentation Properties.

| Blank Presentation | Creates a new presentation containing one empty scene. |
| Presentation with Background | This option will prompt you to select an image file; a new presentation is then created containing one scene with the image you selected as the background. |
| Presentation from Template | Choosing this option will allow you to start a presentation where the first scene is from an existing presentation template. |
| Presentation from Multiple Images | Allows you to easily create a slideshow with scene transitions from multiple images. |
| Open Existing File | Selecting <browse> will prompt you to select an existing presentation. Alternatively, you can select a recently opened presentation from the list. |
| Dont show this dialog again | Select this option if you do not wish to use this feature. It can be re-enabled at any stage by going to " File --> Preferences" and selecting "show Create Presentation Window"
